Thanks for the shout out, Sean! Miss having you around the area and working on conferences with you. And, your children and wife are delightful!

Thanks! We miss being there! I hope we'll run into each other sometime soon.

Sharp insight on curriculum wars getting political. Seeing texts chosen for "saying the right thing now" rather than old paths shows how fast presentism creeps in. I saw this at a homescool co-op where parents wanted Howard Zinn for history but rejected modern literature, total contradiction. The hundred-year rule being tested with books like The Sun Also Rises will be fascinating to watch.

SWB’s activity on social media has been disappointing. My first sign of trouble was her response on Substack to Gibbs’s DOE essay.

I am grateful to be working alongside you at Thales to help stem the classical teacher shortage. So many resources are becoming widely available that those looking to learn will have ample opportunity. Now, I wonder if it’s not time to begin helping master teachers and administrators become better coaches and mentors.

Thanks for this post, Sean.

So thankful for all the resources out there for classical teachers now! I agree that teaching teacher to be mentors is important!

I agree. The response to Gibb's was poorly timed and researched, in addition to being incendiary. I think that is what shook a lot of people.
